FAQ

What is the $MASKS token?

The $MASKS is a social token created to encourage and reward user engagement on social networks. It allows users to tip (give a tip) in response to interactions or appreciated content.

How can I get $MASKS?

You can get $MASKS through airdrops organized for partners and the community, as well as by actively participating on social platforms integrated with $MASKS like Warpcast.

How to obtain an allocation distributed every Monday?

Simply follow the /masks channel, and provide at least 50k of $Masks in liquidity -> https://www.masks.wtf/how-to-provide-lp

How to tip someone with $MASKS?

  • 1- Find a post or comment you appreciate: Browse the casts or comments on Warpcast and choose the one you want to reward.
  • 2- Add a mask in your comment: To tip someone, reply to their post/comment by including the mask emoji “🎭” in your response. You can add text if you wish, but the mask emoji must be present for the tip to be counted.
Example: “Thanks for this great post!🎭 ”
  • 3- Validate the Tips: Once your comment is posted, click on the “action” icon (four small squares below the post) and click on the action “TIP XX $Masks 🎭”. The Warcpast bot will confirm that your tip has been recorded and will notify the user.

How many masks can I give per comment?

Only one mask per comment is taken into account to prevent abuse. Can I tip the same person multiple times? It is not recommended to repeatedly and unjustifiably tip the same person to encourage a fair distribution of tips within the community.

How to check my $MASKS allocations?

You can check your weekly $MASKS allocations via the frame provided for this purpose on Warcpast.

Are tips anonymous?

No, when you tip someone, the Warcpast bot publicly notifies the person you have tipped.

What happens if I don’t spend my $MASKS allocated for the week?

Unused $MASKS at the end of the week are lost and are not carried over to the next week. Is the tip amount fixed? The amount of the tip in $MASKS can vary and will be viewable on the statistics frame. It is not always equivalent to the same number of tokens.

What is the allocation of the 15% reserved for the ecosystem in our project?

The 15% reserved for the ecosystem is allocated as follows:

  • 5% for the team, locked for 14 months then released linearly at a rate of 10% per month.
  • 5% sold OTC to strategic partners, locked for 12 months.
  • 5% available for the continuous development of the project (marketing, partnerships, infrastructure,…).

Who are the members of the core team and the extended team supporting the project?

The core team consists of @shaax (offchain), @rpgmax (onchain), @naillik (multitalented), and @TheCryptomasks (founder). We are also supported by several others who are considered part of the extended team.

How are allocations determined, and what measures are taken to prevent exploitative farming in the system?

It’s a social token, it must be accessible to as many people as possible. Allocations are not the same for everyone; they are calculated based on several parameters such as “audience” and “user behavior,” using a formula designed to avoid large disparities between small and large accounts. To prevent exploitative farming, we blacklist any account that abuses our system and violates our code of conduct.
